News From Thurlton Parish Council

Many thanks to all of you who have cut back and trimmed your hedges which border the pavements and roads within the village. It is much appreciated and makes the village safer for both pedestrians and drivers.

The Blacksmith Gardens development is now nearing completion and houses are already starting to be occupied. The Parish Council extends a warm welcome to all of its residents and especially to those who may be new to the village. If you need any information about the village, its amenities, associations or clubs please feel free to contact the parish clerk or any of the parish councillors whose contact details can be found on the parish noticeboard opposite the village shop.

Christmas is nearly here…well if not the actual day then certainly the Christmas Music Quiz. You can start to get into the spirit on Monday 18 November at 8.00pm in The Queen’s Head with some festive music questions with all proceeds going to local charities.

We didn’t mention dog poo last month and the only reason for mentioning it this month is because our streets remain pretty much dog poo free…we hope that all dog owners will carry on the good work.

Finally, a thank you to Richard Attoe and his builders for the repairs to the brick plinth of the village sign.
