Car park renovation almost complete
- MANAGEMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF P.C. ASSETS
Results of this year’s play area inspection had been received and e-mailed to all Councillors. Problems with pathway edges, mole hills, litter bins, bolt caps missing, weed growth on tiger mulch included in report. Removal of stones from front of goals recommended as was ownership signs and signs to exercise equipment to suggest use by adults only. To be progressed.
Although we have had no direct communication it has been suggested that recent works at Church Rd/ Beccles Rd junction are relative to improvement of Broadband provisions
A complaint received from residents of queens head close property adjacent to playing field relative to lack of privacy when youngsters climb an adjacent tree and overlook their property was discussed. It was agreed that Parish Council will not finance any tree surgery to resolve this problem. However it was suggested that they are entitled to trim any overhang past their fence line and if they are prepared to finance tree surgery then Parish Council would be prepared to consider any proposals they would like to put forward.
Following resignation of Shaun for personal reasons we need a replacement to do weekly/monthly checks on defibrillator. Both Ian and Paul have said they are prepared to take on this responsibility. Clerk to arrange
- HIGHWAY/TRAFFIC CALMING/FOOTPATH MATTERS
Cliff Stevens who regularly cuts the verge opposite the shop and the Shop, particularly Caroline Leybourne, who have helped with watering of planters this year to be thanked. Article to newsletter
The proposal to place lockable posts, to restrict lorry/caravan access to playing field, at top of Mill Lane was discussed. Clerk to communicate with hall users.
